Having been a digital fantasy artist for over ten years my art was getting very stagnant to the point I almost chucked it in. Almost.

September 2012 was the very first time I picked up a pyrography tool and burned a design into a wood hoop of a shamanic drum I was making.
It wasn't very good.

That Christmas, my husband asked me what I would like for my present and I asked for a pyrography set. Befuddled at my choice of gift, he brought one for me anyway and a how-to guidebook.

2013 was a year of pyrography. Tentatively I began burning designs on paper first, then wooden key rings and small boxes.

I showed my friends on Facebook and they brought the key rings and boxes from me. 

In April 2013 I decided to set up my Etsy store and in May I had my first craft stall selling my pyrography gifts.

I love this type of craft and I find it blends well with my spirituality and my love for nature as well.

All of my designs are my own, hand drawn by me first before burnt using a pyrography tool.
